Jack completed Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri in 2022 and 2023, respectively. His Master's research revolved around the thermal-hydraulic optimization of heat sinks using flapping agitators and other vortex generators. He contributed to a paper published in the International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer.
During his time at Mizzou, Jack competed as a member of the university swim and dive team. He achieved All-SEC and All-American recognition, highlighted by a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle at the 2023 NCAA Championships. The 2022 SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year was awarded to him for his success in the classroom and pool. By the time his eligibility was exhausted, he held team records in the 200-yard freestyle, 200-yard backstroke and 4x200-yard freestyle relay. Following his illustrious NCAA career, Jack turned pro and represented the United States at the 2023 Chengdu World University Games, 2023 Santiago Pan American Games (gold, prelims 4x100-medley relay; silver, 4x200-freestyle relay; silver, prelims 4x100-mixed medley relay; bronze 200-meter butterfly) and 2024 World Aquatics World Cup Series (bronze, 200-meter backstroke).
Currently continuing his athletic pursuits with a goal of making the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, Jack joins the Counsilman-Hunsaker team in production. With years of experience in the water, he brings a passion and knowledge base that aligns with Counsilman-Hunsaker.
In his free time, Jack likes to be outdoors boating, fishing or sitting around the campfire. He also enjoys travelling with his fiancée, Audrey, and their golden retriever puppy, Violet.
