The new Spokane Central YMCA/YWCA is the first in the nation to combine the benefits of the YMCA and the YWCA into one facility. The two-story 80,000 sq. ft. building includes an aquatic center; a teen center; a music recording studio; and a state-of-the-art gym with full court for basketball, volleyball, and youth sports leagues.

Sharing the same roof, but operationally separate, the YWCA area includes an Opportunity Center, Our Sister’s Closet resource area, Domestic Violence counseling/visitation center, after school care center, administrative spaces, and an exterior rooftop garden sanctuary overlooking the City of Spokane skyline.

Acting as a visual focus for the building, the new aquatic venue creates a functional, attractive family-oriented facility with numerous amenities.

Children's interactive water play feature

Central YMCA/YWCA achieved the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification for energy efficient design.
