In March 2017, Counsilman-Hunsaker and MKSD performed an assessment of both the Conklin and Glenside pools. Existing conditions of the pools and pool equipment were audited, and a summary report of these observations along with an opinion of probable construction cost for any corrective actions or replacement equipment was provided. The opinion of probable construction costs was based on stated observations made on site, reasonable assumptions based on experience of observing similar facilities, and current market conditions. During the audit, the client requested the consultants’ opinion of repair and remedial work necessary for both existing facilities.
In 2017, Counsilman-Hunsaker was retained by the Cheltenham Township to develop conceptual options and scenarios being considered by the city. Input from stakeholders and residents were gathered through public input sessions and stakeholder meetings. Recommendations, costs, and timelines were proposed on how the city could best move forward. Concepts options were based on replacing the Conklin Pool and the Glenside Pool.
