The City of Bardstown retained Luckett&Farley and Counsilman-Hunsaker to study the feasibility of an indoor recreational aquatics center to be connected to a planned indoor sports complex. An indoor lap pool and outdoor recreational water were the primary aquatic features. CH developed several conceptual options that incorporated a variety of indoor pools and features to serve as a destination for aquatic users, including an indoor/outdoor waterslide, a children’s zero-depth entry pool with a play feature, open recreational water, and a floatable crossing activity. CH also developed an opinion on the probable costs of the construction of the swimming pool.
