Coppell Aquatic Center

The Coppell Aquatic and Recreation Center first opened its doors in 2000, and has since served the community by providing many recreational and educational programs, services, events, and activities for all ages. In May 2015, the center officially changed its name to The CORE, to better reflect how the center has become the “core” of Coppell’s fitness, family and community.

The Aquatic and Recreation Center offers indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, gymnasium, indoor running track, class and meeting rooms, child care, recreation classes and camps, and swimming lessons. Following a major renovation/expansion in 2012, the facility boasts a new fitness center with cardio and strength areas, new aerobics room, locker and shower areas, an updated lobby and exterior pool restrooms.  The updated aquatic components include:

9,000 sq. ft. Outdoor Leisure Pool

  • Free-form shallow play pool area with zero-depth entry,      interactive play structure, large tipping bucket, small tumble buckets,      and raindrop umbrellas
  • L-shaped intermediate depth area with two lily pad      crossing activities, open flume & enclosed flume waterslides
  • One-meter springboard diving

4,100 sq. ft. Indoor Competition Pool

  • 25-yard lap/fitness pool with an adjoining diving well

3,600 sq. ft. Indoor Pool

  • 25-yard lap pool with four lanes
  • Indoor waterslide with deck runout
  • Wet deck area with spray features
  • 750 sq. ft. tot pool with children’s play structure and      a variety of water spray features
