The Grand Traverse Resort and Spa desired an increase in entertainment value for their existing indoor pool area, consisting of a four lane lap pool and a three- to four-foot flat water pool.
The renovation consisted of two elements. First—the demolition of an existing corner waterfall made way for a new wet deck area with several splash and spray features. This added play value for young children who previously did not have available aquatic activity at the resort. Second—the four lane lap pool was modified to include a 70 ft. waterslide, floating obstacle course, and basketball hoops.
These new features provide varied activities for families while retaining three full-length swim lanes for lap swimming and exercise. The additional functionality has cross-over appeal to both hospitality guests and Health Club members
