Hagan-Stone Park Aquatic Center

In June 2015, the citizens of Guilford County were thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of the newly constructed Hagan-Stone Park Aquatic Center located in Pleasant Garden, NC. The outdoor aquatic center embodies the constituents needs and objectives by combining leisure areas and fitness/competitive swimming program spaces in a fully ADA accessible pool.
The county’s main objective was to create an entertaining, multipurpose aquatic experience for residents of the county and for those camping at Hagan-Stone Park. The new pool replaces a previous aquatic facility at the park increasing the occupancy load from 60 to 350 patrons. The zero-beach entry pool offers a gradual slope giving patrons with wheelchairs and walkers access to the water. This allows the facility to meet needs of the ongoing summer camp for children with disabilities. New amenities include:
