The Joule Urban Resort, located on Main Street in downtown Dallas, The Joule Hotel is a 1927 art deco building with its outdoor pool cantilevered off the 10th level outdoor terrace and jutting six feet over the edge of the building. Enhanced by large expanses of water disappearing at its infinity edge and glass wall, the pool creates a mesmerizing effect visible for a mile down the street.
For an extra fun fact, one of Counsilman-Hunsaker's associates lifeguarded at film shoots for the ABC legal drama TV series, The Deep End (2010), that took place at The Joule Hotel pool.
