The North Tonawanda High School swimming pool, built in 2001, supports high school competitive and fitness swimming via an indoor short course 25-yard swimming pool and 1-meter diving. Kideney Architects and Counsilman-Hunsaker were retained to identify items related to the swimming pool's lengthy crack running diagonally from the deep end to the shallow water transition.
Recommendations were made with an opinion of probable cost divided into three classes: immediate attention, including code violations and safety concerns; elements that have reached their typical lifespan and should be budgeted for the near future replacement; and modernization/upgrade elements.
