Constructed in 1984, the 137,000 sq. ft. Albright Health Center became obsolete in its ability to serve the Northern Kentucky University campus community. The university opted to renovate and expand the facility with an additional 110,000 sq. ft. featuring a new indoor recreational pool, performance gymnasium, weight-fitness space, group exercise rooms, bouldering wall, offices and an outdoor turf field complex with soccer and softball fields. The remaining 56,000 square foot of the existing building received minor HVAC upgrades. The expansion also features an update to the existing gymnasium, track, racquetball courts, and weight-fitness space.
