The team of Counsilman-Hunsaker, Allen Brown Architects, and Moody Nolan designed the new resort-like outdoor aquatic facility to meet Oklahoma State University’s student body’s fitness and leisure programming needs. The state-of-the-art facility embodies the school’s goals and objectives as a popular gathering place for students.
The pool is made up of one large body of water artistically carved into separate rings with each seamlessly connecting to the next. Amenities include:
- Three fitness lap lanes adjoined to a split-level wading pool with stair entry
- Vortex as the innermost ring, spinning quietly with the sounds of waterfalls and trickling fountains located throughout the pool
- Underwater bubble-bench seating as the next ring of the circle, holding up to 30 students
- Current channel designed as the outermost ring
- ADA-accessible zero-depth entry
- Aquatic basketball space located in the upper pool section
