Counsilman-Hunsaker in association with Thompson Dyke & Associates, was retained by the City of Lake Zurich to design and engineer a 2,000-square-foot new free-formed water sprayground which will have 10 different spray elements and will be surfaced with a thin, poured rubber. The sprayground will utilize a recirculating water system, which will include a below-grade reservoir, main filter and pump system vault and chemical treatment vaults.
The design required site planning and coordination with existing projects in Paulus Park. The goal was to meet the needs and expectations of the community through creativity, design excellence, and budgetary responsibility.
Additional improvements to the park include sand play equipment and horseshoe and bocce ball courts.
