Pennsylvania State University – Mildred and Louis Lasch Building – Spas

State College, PA

The Mildred and Louis Lasch Building originally opened in 2000 and was one of the finest football training facilities in the country. Since that time, it has seen few upgrades, but remained functional and continued to serve the majority of needs for intercollegiate athletics and Penn State football, but there were a number of functional requirements that were not being met.

The facility completed a major renovation in 2016 allowing Penn State’s football program to be top-of-the- line. Housed within the newly-renovated Lasch Building is an aquatic therapy area, 13,000 sq. ft. weight room, massive locker room, athletic training facilities, meeting rooms, video production suite, coaches and staff offices, well-appointed players’ lounge, and the academic support center and computer room.

Aquatic amenities include:

Two 200 sq. ft. Lap Pools

  • Each with stair entry and underwater bench seating
  • Pools can be chilled down to 50 °F and heated up to 104 °F

200 sq. ft. Plunge Pool

  • Stair entry
  • Bench seating with hydrotherapy jets
  • Pool can be chilled down to 50 °F and heated up to 104 °F
