In August 2015, a site visit conducted to the existing pool at the Phillips 66 Facility in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Conditions were evaluated and discussions took place with personnel who were familiar with the construction and operation of the facility. Field notes, meeting minutes, and photographs were utilized to prepare assessments, preliminary recommendations, and opinions to complete the scope of services. Determinations of why the pool tile was failing in specific locations, as well as recommendations regarding remediation were included.
In November, 2016 Phillips 66 once again retained Counsilman-Hunsaker to developing an aquatic feasibility study to review options for the existing Phillips 66 Aquatic Center. The study process examined several different options, including renovation of the existing aquatic center with the addition of a shallow warm-water pool; demolition of the existing aquatic center and constructing a new facility with a 25-yard x 25-meter competition pool, and a shallow warm-water pool; the construction of new 25-yard x 25-meter aquatic center with a shallow warm-water pool on an alternate site; and the demolition of the existing aquatic center and constructing a new facility with a 50-meter x 25-yard competition pool, and a shallow warm-water pool. Along with each option, cost estimated were provided.
