Southeast Polk Middle School Pool (Audit)

Des Moines, IA

VIEW ALL PROJECTS

Southeast Polk School District commissioned Frevert-Ramsey-Kobes Architects and Counsilman-Hunsaker to provide a swimming pool audit in December 2008.

This audit was performed on the 1968 five lane 25-yard swimming pool located in the old high school, (will be renamed the middle school when the new high school opens in fall 2009).

The audit identified items related to the swimming pool and its continued use for alternative programming.

In addition, the audit identified items that could be expected to need addressing in the future. When the new high school and its pool are opened, swim team usage will discontinue for the old pool and the cost to repair and operate the pool in a diminished capacity were determined for consideration.
