St. Peters Rec-Plex
St. Peters, MOCounsilman-Hunsaker, in association with Hastings & Chivetta Architects, was commissioned by the City of St. Peters to plan and design a world-class aquatic complex for its nationally recognized aquatics program and to host special aquatic events. In 1994, the Rec-Plex hosted the Olympic Festival and in 2004, hosted the Olympic Diving Trials.
The state-of-the-art natatorium includes:
- 12,641 sq. ft. Competition Pool
- 50-meter by 25-yard competition pool
- 1 and 3-meter diving boards
- Diving tower with 1-, 3-, 5-, 7½-, and 10-meter diving
- Movable floor at the shallow end can be raised to deck level or lowered to a depth of two meters for deep-water racing starts
- Whirlpool spa
- 3,167 sq. ft. Leisure Pool
- Corkscrew waterslide
- ADA-accessible zero-depth entry
