The City of Miamisburg contracted with Champlin Architecture and Counsilman-Hunsaker to explore a replacement for the existing Sycamore Trails Aquatic Center. The City recently closed the facility due to a significant amount of water loss. Champlin and CH studied pools that could incorporate recreation swimming, lap swimming, and programs, along with pools for young children and thrill amenities. CH developed concepts for each body of water along with an opinion of probable construction cost. The City then hired the study team to design the replacement and the facility is currently under construction as of March of 2025 with a scheduled opening for the 2026 summer.
