University of Fairbanks – Patty Center (Audit)

Fairbanks, AK

VIEW ALL PROJECTS

Design Alaska engaged Counsilman-Hunsaker to conduct a swimming pool audit at the University of Alaska—Fairbanks Patty Center Pool, a six-lane, 25-yard indoor facility initially designed in 1961 and dedicated in 1963. The pool serves multiple purposes, including being used by the Nanook swim team, the Stingrays Swim Team (SST), masters’ swimmers, conditioning programs, and recreational users. The audit aimed to assess the current condition of the pool and its mechanical systems—still operating on their original piping and filtration—and to evaluate the facility’s programming needs, goals, and future vision.
