Washington Aquatic Center

Midland, TX

June 2017 marked the grand opening and dedication of the all-new Washington Aquatic Center. The original pool was built in the 1950s and had several upgrades since that time. Due to the age of the pool, the facility needed to be brought up to all applicable pool safety codes and ADA Standards. The Midland City Council unanimously voted to demolish the pool and replace it with a new 12,800 sq. ft. leisure pool complete with two large slides, an interactive children’s play structure, a lazy river, and a ‘swimming lagoon’ that offers activities for teens. A new concession stand, office areas and bath house were also part of the design.

The new family-friendly aquatic center offers many exciting amenities to the community.
