Matanuska-Susitna Borough, AK

VIEW ALL PROJECTS

The team of Architects Alaska and Counsilman-Hunsaker were retained to complete a swimming pool assessment and feasibility study for Matanuska-Susitna Borough’s Wasilla and Palmer pools.  The project included determining what repairs were needed to bring the facilities up to current codes and standards, as well as looking for opportunities to increase the recreation value of each facility.  Options ranged from making the needed repairs to completely replacing and expanding the aquatic areas.  The study evaluated the initial capital investment, as well as the long-term operational impact these improvement would create.
