White Mountain Aquatic Foundation, a non-profit corporation devoted to establishing a multiple use aquatic center in Mt. Washington Valley, retained Counsilman-Hunsaker to conceptualize a center that would provide recreational, therapy, instructional, fitness, and competitive programs. Based on three initial options studied, it was determined that a two-pool option with a larger training capacity in the lap pool, enhanced warm-water pool for therapy programs, increased fitness spaces, and a multipurpose room would best meet the needs of the community.
