The Glendale YWCA had for many years sub-leased their pool facility and was in the initial stages of planning to take the operations back over. The YWCA management was aware that many features of the ageing 1955 indoor pool would soon require improvements and upgrade. Counsilman Hunsaker was commissioned to complete a facility audit and report the findings. These included state code violations recommended mechanical and circulation improvements and ideas to enhance the facility into a community use pool that would also provide an ideal training facility for the swim team of the neighboring community college.
The audit document itemized the many issues and recommended improvements in written detail and provided a breakdown of estimated construction costs for both the necessary and proposed upgrades.
