The Schenectady County Metroplex Development Authority contracted Counsilman-Hunsaker to develop a feasibility study for the purpose of building a natatorium with a 50-meter pool, a diving well, and a shallow water teaching pool at the Mohawk Harbor development in Schenectady.
The Development Authority has partnered with a non-profit group to operate the future aquatic center in order to provide community aquatic programming and host regional, statewide and national competitive swimming events at the aquatic center. Counsilman-Hunsaker developed an operational pro forma to detail anticipated operating expenses, revenue streams and a long-term capital replacement plan.
Counsilman-Hunsaker also conducted an economic impact analysis for competitive swimming events in conjunction with our strategic partner, The Sports Facilities Advisory.
