The new vision for The Piazza introduces more landscape and creates a variety of welcoming public and program spaces. The design inverts the familiar forms and sensations of urban life into something unexpected, calming and cleansing. Conceptually, the primary material of the new landscape is light. Abstract and unarticulated garden pavilions chart the sun’s path – warming some surfaces, shading others, and projecting animated shadows. Water reflects rippled light onto the surrounding smooth surfaces.

The reimagined courtyard complements a new indoor spa, as well as the recently reappointed Piazza Apartments, just steps away. Inside, recovery-focused his-and-her spa facilities include high-pressure showers, dry saunas, stand-up light therapy, and tanning, and state-of-the-art hydromassage beds, as well as a steam room and a reservable treatment room.

The Piazza also includes an 800 sq. ft. stage and a high-definition, 400 sq. ft. Daktronics LED screen, making the space a hive of activity all year long with free festivals, concerts, dance performances, and live broadcasts of sporting events.
