To identify deficiencies at their aging facility, Cuyahoga Community College (Tri C) enlisted the help of Counsilman-Hunsaker to perform an audit.
The Tri C campus houses a 6-lane, 25-yard, 3,150 square-foot lap pool that is over 50 years old. Although it is not used for competitions, the pool serves as a recreational, training, and multipurpose facility. Unfortunately, it is currently closed for maintenance and safety reasons. Tri C is facing operational issues with pool equipment located in the mechanical room, as well as leaks that have become apparent in the tunnel surrounding the pool.
Counsilman-Hunsaker's report identified several major concerns and prioritized them in a tier list of immediate to long-term repairs. The report also included cost estimates for repairs and a full replacement, allowing the college to assess its options and plan accordingly.
