Federation Internationale de Natation (FINA), based in Lausanne, Switzerland is the sole worldwide sports organization governing swimming, diving, synchronized swimming, water polo and open water swimming. FINA has signed a sponsorship agreement with Counsilman – Hunsaker for the 1st FINA World Aquatics Convention to be held in Punta del Este, Uruguay, September 27 – 29, 2010. The overarching objective of the 1st FINA World Aquatics Convention is to give delegates the best possible guidelines and information to move the five aquatic disciplines forwards in the 21st century in their respective country.
