Boulder Country Club initially reached out to Counsilman-Hunsaker regarding a potential replacement of specific pool equipment. During an initial site visit and meeting with staff, Counsilman-Hunsaker suggested that a swimming pool audit would help provide a more precise direction moving forward with improvements to the pools.

Boulder Country Club commissioned Counsilman-Hunsaker to provide a swimming pool audit in September 2020. Boulder Country Club operates four bodies of water at the facility: an indoor lap pool, a spa, an outdoor lap pool, and an outdoor wading pool. The audit focused on the two outdoor pools.

Project Amenities

The audit identified potential concerns, items that do not satisfy the current administrative code, items not to current aquatic industry design standards, or equipment not operating as designed. In addition, Counsilman-Hunsaker provided an opinion of probable construction costs for the aquatics recommendations.

BCC was pleased by the quality of the audit, and Counsilman-Hunsaker was retained for the renovation of critical items at the outdoor lap pool including; new pool filters, filter backwash system, high-efficiency pool heater, pool piping, flow meters, and pump accessories. The renovation work was completed by Aquatic Chemical Solutions by May of 2021, providing a full season of outdoor summer swimming for the Country Club.
