Having closed its only outdoor pool several years ago, the City of Peru contracted with Counsilman-Hunsaker to explore options for a new outdoor swimming pool.  Analyzing the existing site, which contains a baseball-themed spray ground, several options were developed that included a zero-depth entry, open water recreation area, and a variety of amenities such as children’s play features, waterslides, a diving area, and a floatable crossing activity. In addition to conceptual designs, capital and operational costs were projected to ensure the city could plan the financial implications of a new swimming pool.
