In June 2017, Counsilman-Hunsaker was hired by Sports Facilities Advisory, in association with the City of Bridgeport, to analyze the capital costs for a new aquatic center. Counsilman-Hunsaker provided a capital costs analysis and expense and revenue analysis for two concepts.
Pleased with the results from the study, the Citynet Center at the Bridge Sports Complex completed in 2021 and is a premium gathering space for sports, recreation, and wellness in North Central West Virginia. The 156,000 sq. ft. complex includes state-of-the-art competition and entertainment spaces, including an indoor turf field and a natatorium for competitive swimming. The facility is a regional destination for sports tournaments and events and a local destination for health, wellness, and family entertainment.
