The City of Granbury, Texas contracted Brinkley Sargent Wiginton Architects and Counsilman-Hunsaker to develop options to renovate or replace the existing Dana Vollmer Municipal Swimming Pool. The existing L-shaped, 6-lane pool no longer met the recreational needs of the community and had several ongoing maintenance concerns.
Counsilman-Hunsaker developed three options that included various sizes of leisure pools incorporating a children’s play structure and waterslides. The study looked at two different sites if the City decided to relocate the swimming pool facility along with associated capital and operational costs for a new outdoor aquatic facility.
