Pleased with the results of the study, the consultant team of Counsilman-Hunsaker and Farnsworth Group was retained to design The Rec, a 58,000 sq. ft. recreation complex which opened in May 2019. Its centerpiece is a window-lined, atrium-style lobby that looks down on a lower-level, 6,000 sq. ft. fitness center complete with cardio and weight-training equipment and rooms for yoga, Pilates, and other classes; a 10,323 sq. ft. aquatic center with a pool for laps and open swim, water slide, vortex, splash pad, and lazy river; and a gymnasium with a basketball court that converts into two volleyball courts. Also featured is the wildly colorful, upper-level climbing area known as “Clip ‘n Climb”.

The Rec property also has a walking path, a running track, a soccer field, a dog park, and a trail around the perimeter.
