In May 2016, Schorr Architects, Inc. commissioned Counsilman-Hunsaker to provide a swimming pool audit. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources commissioned this audit to assist in identifying items that were substandard or not operating as designed. Counsilman-Hunsaker evaluated the existing outdoor and indoor bodies of water, with an evaluation of their respective mechanical systems, and provided an opinion of probable costs for items identified.
In September 2021, Abbot Studios commissioned Counsilman-Hunsaker to provide a second assessment of both the indoor and outdoor pools. Various improvements had been made to the pools and pool mechanical equipment following the 2016 audit, such as new water chemistry controllers and pool liners installation over the existing pool shell and perimeter coping for each pool. Counsilman-Hunsaker provided an opinion of probable construction costs for the recommendations identified within the report which will assist in defining a course of action regarding the future of the facility.
