The municipality of Canon City enlisted the expertise of Counsilman-Hunsaker for a comprehensive evaluation of their existing outdoor swimming pools, aiming to assess the overall condition of the pools and associated equipment. The seasonal outdoor aquatic facility boasts an L-shaped lap pool featuring a 1-M diving section at one end and a separate wading pool.
The audit focused on pinpointing the necessary measures to rejuvenate the facility to its operational best. Every aspect, including swimming pool finishes, features, pool deck, and mechanical equipment, underwent meticulous scrutiny during the assessment. Subsequently, Counsilman-Hunsaker delivered a comprehensive report to the city, offering recommendations along with associated costs.
To provide constituents with a visual representation of the potential transformation, Counsilman-Hunsaker also created 2D renderings of a replacement facility on-site. These insights are intended to aid the city in strategic budgeting for short-term, mid-term, and long-term repairs or replacements, ensuring the revitalization of Icabone Pool and its sustainable operation for the enjoyment of both residents and visitors.
