Counsilman-Hunsaker conducted an assessment of the indoor five-lane lap pool at Manitou Springs which was reaching the end of its life. This was the main focus of the facility audit. The facility also has an indoor residential style fiberglass spa, an outdoor in-deck concrete spa, and an outdoor kiddie pool. All pools are used frequently by the community.
The City of Manitou Springs retained Counsilman-Hunsaker to provide an estimate of time left in the lap pool’s life, provide recommendations and cost estimates on priority items to be addressed to extend its life or if the pool were to be replaced, and further comment on their mechanical equipment and the other pools.
