The Natrona County Athletic Department has an overall goal is to provide a positive environment dedicated to achieving excellence in athletic and academic performance. They believe that participating in athletics inspires personal development that rightfully prepares student athletes to contribute to society in a lasting and meaningful way. And Natrona High School was the chosen to help achieve that goal.
In 2020, the Natrona County School District voted to dedicate over $10 million to build a new natatorium located next to the Mustang Athletic Community Center. The new 18,600 sq. ft. natatorium features a 4,572 sq. ft., eight lane, 25-yard pool with two 1-meter springboards, water basketball and volleyball. The pool will be used for physical education classes, swim team practices and host competitions, and can be easily accessed via a new an elevated walkway.
The pool is equipped with many sustaining features, such as a Paddock stainless-steel perimeter gutter and Evacuator system, SR Smith starting blocks, and a complete timing system and scoreboard by Colorado Time Systems. The mechanical room for the new swimming area features Neptune-Benson high-rate sand filters, BECSys7 chemical controller, Wafer UV system by ETS, and a Pulsar sanitation system.
