The new 13,000 sq. ft. Wellness and Innovation Complex was designed to accommodate numerous initiatives relative to health wellness and entrepreneurial innovation, while the new reflecting fountains offer the community a new space in which to contemplate and rejuvenate.
The facility’s outdoor space provides an excellent recreational haven for Pharr families, including an outdoor amphitheater, hike and bike trails which connect to the Santa Ana Wildlife Refuge; and creating an extended corridor for recreational, educational, and physical enjoyment.
Counsilman-Hunsaker designed the 4,000 sq. ft. reflecting fountain measuring 116.5 feet long by 36 feet wide. It features five vertical column jets with LED lights and 16 arching jets set flush in the edge coping with each water stream lit with floor mounted LED’s. The fountain has a symmetrical tile patterned floor which reflects the formal design of the French style garden surrounding the fountain.
