In October 2022, Counsilman-Hunsaker was commissioned by Design Group, authorized by Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC), to conduct an audit of their swimming pool facilities.
SOMC is currently home to a 25-meter, 2,600-square-foot lap pool, and a 500-square-foot warm therapy pool, which are being used for therapy, rehabilitation, community exercise classes, and lap swimming. The pools were constructed in 1994 and have undergone repairs and replacements on an as-needed basis for the last 15 years. However, the Medical Center's top priority is to provide a visually updated, refreshing, safe, and sanitary environment for pool users.
The audit report provided recommendations for upgrading the existing equipment and extending the current pool's life.
