Timberline Lodge, honored as a National Historic Landmark in 1977, stands as a beacon among Oregon's top tourist havens, drawing nearly two million visitors each year. Tucked away in the enchanting alpine backdrop near Mount Hood, this legendary lodge has welcomed guests since its founding in 1937. Harmonizing contemporary comforts with its captivating historical charm, Timberline Lodge is celebrated for its grandiose ambiance.
After over six decades of providing an alpine sanctuary, the original Timberline pool reached its twilight years. In the autumn of 2022, decommissioning commenced, heralding the dawn of a new pool and hot tub era at this historic retreat. The newly heated pool, operational year-round, now graces the same spot as its predecessor, ensuring a seamless transition in the pool experience while paying homage to the lodge's legacy. Crafted to cater to hotel guests and host group gatherings and special occasions, the pool introduces a fresh dimension to Timberline Lodge's offerings.
A sky bridge from the west side hotel vestibule facilitates access to the pool and hot tub, seamlessly integrating the new amenities with the lodge's existing layout. Moreover, the restoration endeavors encompassed the resurrection of stone buttresses and architectural elements reminiscent of the lodge's original design, evoking a nostalgic aura reminiscent of 1958.
