The team of Prairie Architects and Counsilman-Hunsaker were retained to complete a comprehensive study to identify the feasibility and cost implications of whether to proceed with a major renovation and expansion or a complete replacement of their existing pool. The goal of the study was to identify the current and future aquatics needs of the University with respects to Academics, Student Recreation, and the overall community. The team held various stakeholder meetings with student and community groups to understand the importance of aquatics to the region. This information was used to create an aquatic space program that was used to generate diverse options to meet the aquatic needs on campus.
