War Memorial Center (Study)

In early 2019, Barker Rinker Seacat commissioned Counsilman-Hunsaker to assist in a feasibility study analysis for the planning, design, and operations for a renovated War Memorial Center which would include indoor and outdoor aquatics in the Town of Mooresville. Through this process, Counsilman-Hunsaker was contracted to identify and assess the need for aquatics and develop options for consideration that meet the aquatic needs of the Mooresville community. During this time, multiple community meetings were held, and focus groups in specific interest areas were formed. The input that was provided allowed Counsilman-Hunsaker to develop indoor and outdoor aquatic options for the community. This study will provide the leadership of Mooresville with the information needed to make an informed decision about moving forward with the War Memorial Center renovation which will service the recreational, instructional, fitness, and competitive aquatic needs of its residents
