The Indian Wells Valley Economic Development Corporation (IWVEDC) retained Counsilman-Hunsaker to conduct a feasibility study for a new indoor and outdoor aquatic center in Ridgecrest, CA. Several conceptual designs were developed to include indoor and outdoor leisure options.
Counsilman-Hunsaker conducted public input and aquatic stakeholders’ meetings with the local college, school district, hospital, and city and competitive swim teams to ascertain their needs and potential use of the aquatic center
In 2021, the IWVEDC contracted with Counsilman-Hunsaker for a feasibility study update that included a two-pool, outdoor aquatic facility for the City of Ridgecrest’s Proposition 68 grant application.
