The Glen Ellyn Park District retained Counsilman-Hunsaker and FGM Architects to review and evaluate the present layout, features, and conditions of the Sunset Pool and develop recommendations, concepts, and plans to renovate, improve, and maximize space and layout. The assessment included evaluation and review of the lap pool, leisure pool, and existing play structure. Also reviewed were the existing waterslides, locker rooms, entryways, food service, sand play area, landscape, A.D.A. accessibility, shade opportunities, pool mechanical systems, plumbing, HVAC, pumps, building infrastructure, pool deck, gutter system, lifeguard room, and more.
