Jones-Hill House, which opened in June 2021, is the Terrapins’ new football performance center and home for football operations. Located in Cole Field House, the facility is named in honor of two trailblazers, Billy Jones, who became the first black basketball player at Maryland and in the ACC in 1965, and Darryl Hill, who broke the same color barrier in football in 1963.

The 160,000 sq. ft. facility includes coaching offices, team meeting spaces, a locker room, and a dining facility, as well as indoor and outdoor football practice fields. The world-class facility also features strength, conditioning, and hydrotherapy facilities, a 180-seat theater-style team meeting room, position meeting rooms, a 230-seat cafeteria, a recruiting lounge, and staff offices for the university's football program. The goal of the design was to integrate academics, research, and innovation and recruit top athletes for the football program.
