The Manatee County Parks and Natural Resources commissioned Counsilman-Hunsaker and Kimley-Horn and Associates to provide an assessment of the pump room and pool at the Willie J. Clemons, Jr. Pool (East Bradenton Pool), located on the east side of the City of Bradenton in Manatee, County, FL.
The primary concerns with the current condition of the existing recreation pool, tot pool, and spray ground were water loss (leaking pool systems) and the condition/operation of the mechanical systems, including below-grade piping. A detailed audit report was prepared to inform the city of any necessary repairs, replacements, or restoration of the pool systems, including identifying issues requiring further intensive evaluation or analysis. Recommendations were made for repair/renovation of the existing pools/pump house, deck, and fencing, which included cost estimates and costs for replacing the entire facility with a new similar facility.
