FGM Architects retained Counsilman-Hunsaker to assist with the planning for a replacement for the existing City of Highland outdoor swimming pool. Counsilman-Hunsaker had previously conducted a facility audit that found the pool was at the end of its useful life. Several options were developed that looked at several sites around the City of Highland, including constructing the new outdoor pool adjacent to the City’s Korte Recreation Center. Options that included a variety of aquatics spaces, such as a lap pool and recreational pool, were designed to accommodate a variety of aquatic users in the Highland community.
