The University of Illinois - Chicago (UIC) hired Counsilman-Hunsaker in 2022 to evaluate the Recreation Pool and Spa located in the Student Recreation Center.
The swimming pools, built in 2005, display signs of wear and tear after being used for 20 years. During the assessment, various areas of concern were identified, including the pool surfaces, overflow gutters, filtration systems, and mechanical room items that require renovation or replacement.
The resulting report outlined the necessary repairs, recommended renovations, and estimated cost analysis.
