Counsilman-Hunsaker’s audit included a thorough evaluation of the pools and associated systems. The review identified deficiencies such as outdated design elements, non-compliance with current industry standards, and malfunctioning equipment. Recommendations for updates, repairs, and modifications were provided, along with an opinion of probable construction costs to guide future upgrades. Key findings included the need for pool replastering, a critical requirement for structures over 30 years old, and addressing significant seismic-related damage, including cracking and upheaval of the pool deck. Structural stress in the diving tower was also identified, necessitating its replacement.
The audit also evaluated the recirculating systems, piping, fittings, valves, filtration systems, mechanical components, and water treatment systems. It also reviewed deck equipment, bather preparation areas, and compliance with local health codes, federal regulations, and industry standards. Detailed recommendations prioritized immediate, remedial, and long-term actions, with suggested timelines for implementation.
