In 2021, the City of Arlington enlisted the services of Counsilman-Hunsaker to conduct mechanical systems review of their five spraygrounds. The review covered a thorough assessment of the spraygrounds’ mechanical and filtration systems, water treatment systems, and water circulation systems. Counsilman-Hunsaker provided the city with a verbal commentary on-site, followed by a brief letter summarizing the condition of the spraygrounds.
The review uncovered several issues with the current systems, which were not operating as intended, and provided recommendations for necessary corrective measures. Additionally, the report contained valuable information for Arlington on preventing Naegleria fowleri infections in water playgrounds.
