The City of Evansville commissioned a study by Hafer and Counsilman-Hunsaker to help the city explore options for replacing the existing Lloyd Pool. The study focused on form and function, budget, and location for an aquatics center. Initial findings were presented to members of the aquatic advisory committee. A 50-meter by 25-yard competition pool was recommended to meet the immediate needs of the city and its various aquatic user groups. Recommendations were also made for the size of the site for flexible design and expansion, and estimated project costs were provided.
