Ford Woods Pool

Dearborn, MI

VIEW ALL PROJECTS

In 2017, the Dearborn City Council unanimously approved a plan to spend $4.2 million on a new pool complex in Ford Woods Park and replacing the existing 63-year-old outdoor pool complex, which far exceeded its useful life. The new pool will build community and help people connect and interact with one another.

Project Amenities

The new 25,000 sq. ft. complex includes a zero-depth entry pool, divided into different areas. It includes dual slides, a deck area with lawn chairs and picnic tables, and an extensive indoor area featuring a large common locker area with individual changing and shower rooms. Other amenities include separate, conventional restrooms for men and women, four family locker rooms, vending machines, and outdoor concessions. The concessions area can also expand to accommodate several food trucks, which are popular with the community.
